Private health-record portability

Your records, retrieved to your own computer.

Local Health Archive is a private proof of concept for collecting health information authorized by an individual from participating healthcare organizations. It is not a hosted record service.

Purpose

Retrieve copies of health records that an individual explicitly authorizes.

Storage

Files and credentials stay on the individual’s own device.

Sharing

The application does not transmit records to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

Control

The individual can inspect, copy, export, or delete the local files at any time.

How it works

Authorization stays with the individual.

  1. The individual chooses a participating healthcare organization.
  2. The organization presents its own sign-in and consent screens.
  3. The individual authorizes the record categories and access duration.
  4. Authorized records are written to files under the individual’s control.

Data-use summary

The application is independently developed and operated. It does not sell health information, use it for advertising, or share it for marketing or research. Record retrieval is the direct service it provides.
