Terms of use

These terms apply to the private Local Health Archive proof-of-concept application operated by Brian McBrayer.

Authorized use

The application may be used only to retrieve records for an individual who has authorized access, or for a person whose records the individual is legally and technically permitted to access through the healthcare organization.

Individual control

The individual chooses the healthcare organization, completes its authentication and consent process, and controls the resulting local files. The application does not alter records held by the healthcare organization.

Data practices

The application does not sell retrieved health information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties. Its data practices are described in the privacy and data-use disclosure.

Local operation

Retrieved records and authorization credentials are stored on the individual’s device. The individual is responsible for the security, backups, access controls, and deletion of those local files.

Availability and changes

This is a proof of concept. Availability can depend on the healthcare organization, its patient portal, its supported interfaces, and the individual’s authorization. These terms may be updated as the application evolves; the effective date above identifies this version.
